MILLER CO., GA (WALB) -

Two months after a south Georgia boy was shot and killed, the death of 12-year old Braden Dakota Phillips was ruled a homicide, according to Coroner Danny Sheffield.

Phillips was killed May 26th around midnight while he was at an 11-year-old friend's house on Highway 91 in Colquitt.

He was shot with a .22 rifle.

It will be up to District Attorney Craig Earnest to determine if he will present the case to a grand jury.

No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
