Bizarre Tifton crime spree puzzles officers

Posted: Updated:

A man remains in the Tift County jail tonight two weeks after a crazy crime spree. Police are still trying to figure out what caused it.

Officers say it started when 25-year old Cedrick Thomas was spotted throwing knives at cars on Rainwater Road near the ABAC campus.

They say he then broke into a house, stole the owner's keys and car and rammed an ABAC patrol car twice.

He then took off down Rainwater, in the wrong lane and T-boned ANOTHER patrol car twice.

Officers tased Thomas and arrested him.

The Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol, Tifton Police Department and ABAC public safety are all pursing multiple charges.
