A popular play is back by popular demand in Albany. It's director says it's offers not only big name acts, but a big message as well.

"The Measure of a Man" is a stage play produced and directed by Albany native Matt Hardwick.

It centers around the struggles and integrity of 4 barbers and the love and will of God. It stars Desmond Wilson of Sanford and Son fame and Carl Payne who played on The Cosby Show, as well local actors. This year's play is different though and offers a new twist.

"One of the signatures of my work is that it's unpredictable. Obviously, for the people who came last year, I can't let them sit in the audience and tell the person next to them what's going to happen next. I added a couple of twists to the production. We have new cast members, as well," said Hardwick.

The play will be held August 2nd at the Albany Civic Center.

The performance will also be filmed for a DVD version of the play which will be sold nationwide.

Tickets are $28.50 and $34.50 and on sale at the Civic Center box office.
