Blount commits to VSU

FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) -

Lee County infielder Brandi Blount is planning to play for the national champion Valdosta State Blazers after high school.

Lee County softball coach Lynn Avery says Blount committed to the Blazers last week.

Blount is preparing for her third season starting on the Lee County infield where coach Avery says she will likely play shortstop this fall.

Brandi will be eligible to sign with VSU in November.
