Are you one of those folks in search of a job? One Albany company has more than 50 positions open in the insurance sector. If you are one of those folks searching for a job, Charlie Speller is looking for you. "We are looking for people who want to make a decent living," he said.
He and his wife work for Senior Life Insurance. They recently moved from Delaware to Albany and they're on a mission to bring jobs to the area."We are looking to bring in 50 to 75 jobs but we are looking to hiring in 3 to 5 a month just to get things rolling," he said.
It's the type of job that attracted Patrick Davis. "At the end of the day I feel like I'm cheating, I feel like I don't really work," he said.
He came on board two months ago, and he couldn't be happier. "The very first week I was sitting in this chair on the floor and sales were coming in," he said.
He controls what he does and what he makes. "For the ones who do have the drive and passion it's the best move you'll ever make," he said.
Agents don't go out and make cold calls, they get leads from folks who call in after seeing their commercial, or respond in the mail. "We talk to them about taking care of those needs when it comes to taking care of the burial expenses," he said.
And when it comes to your income, you make what you earn.
"I think I'm worth a lot and I think a lot of people are worth a lot and we just got to help them change their thinking," said Speller.
Now they're working to get more people licensed.
Senior Life Insurance is looking for motivated self starters who:
-Are licensed or willing to obtain a license
-Are committed to not only selling but building great relationships with our customers
-Loves Sales and the Sales process
-Have strong time management skills
