Dougherty School board candidate Lane Price picked up an endorsement today from a former political heavyweight.

Former Lieutenant Governor Mark Taylor threw his support behind the candidate today.

Taylor says Price, who's running for at large position for the school board, has great credentials that will help the public education system.

"If you look at Lane's campaign, the way she has aggressively reaching out to every neighborhood, every community in Dougherty County, you see that passion for service. And that's what's exciting and sets her apart for me," said Mark Taylor, Former Lt. Governor

In addition to her education background Price is a physician, and leads community hospice program. She's running against incumbent Anita Williams-Brown.
