The Lee County Sheriff's Department is now working with the Albany Crime stoppers. The Lee County Sheriff's Department asked to join the Albany Crime-stoppers program. The Sheriff's Department believes it will be a helpful tool in closing some cases.
Just as we got used to lower gas prices, they're shooting back up again.
Prices are up about 10 cents a gallon from last week.
The lowest price we found in Albany is $3.08. The highest about $3.29.
According to AAA, the current Albany average is still 41 cents lower than what we were paying this time last year. But that's not much consolation to drivers.
"What do you think about prices?"
"Oh, I don't like them, I can tell you that right now. I remember cause I'm back in the olden days, I remember buying gas for 50 cent a gallon," William Harrell, Driver.
Experts don't see much relief until after the summer driving season when the demand goes down and the more expensive blends are phased out.
