THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - One of the world's most famous hiders is making appearances this month in small businesses across the country.
Downtown Thomasville is honoring 25 years of "Where's Waldo" by hiding the striped shirted man at 20 downtown businesses.
The Waldo event is part of a national campaign to celebrate independent businesses and their impact on local economies.
"When they spend $1 at a locally owned store, $0.63 goes back into their locally economy. Whereas if they spend it at a big box store maybe $0.43 will go back into their local economy. If they shop online we're not getting anything back to Thomasville," said Owner of The Bookshelf Katie Chastain.

If you spot him at 16 locations, you're entered into a drawing for larger prizes.
