Washington, DC - As our nation celebrates its 236th birthday, Leesburg's Phillip Phillips will take the stage and perform on this 4th of July.

Phillips will sing his American Idol Coronation song, "Home," before an anticipated crowd of 300,000 people on the West Lawn of the U. S. Capitol. 

Twenty television cameras will be stationed around Washington, D.C. to capture the the concert, which also includes country music star Josh Turner and actor Matthre Broderick.

The event will be hosted by ABC's Dancing With The Stars host, Tom Bergeron.

The evening will conclude with a fireworks display.  

It will be broadcast live on PBS from 8 until 9:30 tonight.
