DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

Information from the Douglas Police Department-

On 06/26/2012, Officers with the Douglas Police Department responded to The Fountain Inn located at 1007 North Peterson Avenue, in reference to gunshots being heard and a possible fight at the location. 

Officers were informed that a person, whose name was unknown at the time, had possibly been assaulted while at the motel and then forced to leave with the offenders.  

A short time later, Denzel Akeem Pace was located at the motel and was identified as the victim in this case.  According to Denzel Akeem Pace he was shot at by an unknown person while walking on a nearby city street. 

 He ran to the motel and was later assaulted by several persons unknown to him.  After the assault he was forced to leave with the individuals and was again assaulted at another location.

As a result of the investigation warrants have been issued for the following people, 22 year old Cameron Lamar Landers, 29 year old James Henry Young, 27 year old Robert Lee Poke, and 29 year old Jamale Matthew Jefferson.  

Cameron Lamar Landers and Robert Lee Poke have been arrested and are presently in the Coffee County Jail. 

James Henry Young and Jamale Matthew Jefferson are still currently at large.  The persons are charged with Battery and Kidnapping.  James Henry Young also has a charge of Aggravated Assault.
