LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Two Lee County teenagers are charged with breaking into eight cars and stealing everything from guns to computers.

19 year olds Cody Kalawaia and James Calvin are charged with entering auto.

Lee County deputies recovered a gun, computers, navigation systems, sunglasses, and other items.

The break ins happened in the Lovers Lane Road area.

All the victims' car doors were unlocked, and the sheriff says that makes you an easy target.

"It's a shame that you have to do that to keep thieves out of your car," said Sheriff Reggie Rachals. "Unfortunately, you have the inconvenience of having to lock the car yourself. It's come to that where you have to lock your doors on everything you do now."

The burglaries happened late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

The value of the stolen items is more than $2500.

Calvin is out on bail and Kalawaia had no bond because he is a previously convicted felon. More charges are pending.
