SYLVESTER, GA -

Another South Georgia musician needs your vote in a nationally televised talent show. This time it's a man from Worth County vying for a ticket to stardom.

Monday night Rickey Williams and his band "Distinguished Men of Brass" will be on America's Got Talent on NBC and his family is hoping you tune in to show your support.

Monday night little Ricky Williams will sit as close to the TV as possible.

"I just hope they make it, I think they are going to do very good," Ricky Williams, Son.

His dad, Rickey Williams will perform on NBC's America's Got Talent.

When I hear that music it makes me want to jump up and push down," said Ricky Williams.

Williams plays in a band called Distinguished Men of Crass. The Tampa based band has made it far, they've advanced to New York City and will perform again tonight.

"I think they are going to be a big hit and sell lots of albums," said Dorothy Williams, Mother.

Williams plays the snare drums, which he's played since high school.

"Well since my daddy plays drums I feel this is a symbol of him," said Ricky Williams.

But it hasn't always been easy for Williams. He and other band members lost their jobs working at a theme park in Tampa.

"They fell but they got up and they are trying to establish themselves so they can make support their family," said Dorothy Williams.

So the band is on a mission and they've got the support of this entire family

"I'm very proud to see my dad on TV," said Ricky Williams.

But regardless of whether his dad's band wins, his son is determined to follow his footsteps.

"I love my daddy very much, he's my hero my role model, he is everything to me," said Ricky Williams.

The family hopes everyone in southwest Georgia shows their support tonight and votes.

America's got talent airs Monday night at 8:30. Don't forget to vote.
