LAKE BLACKSHEAR, GA (WALB) -
The heat isn't keeping outdoor enthusiasts indoors.
At Veteran's State Park at Lake Blackshear, plenty of people spent the day on the links or fishing.
One person we talked to said despite the hot temperatures he has a couple of ways of beating the heat.
"I'm just trying to keep cool. I'm drinking water and Gatorade. I'm keeping a wet towel on my head and just enjoying this hot weather," said Curtis Ludden, Fisher.
Doctors say the best thing to do in this heat is to stay hydrated, wear light colored clothes and if you feel faint make your way to the shade and drink plenty of water.
