THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Looking for an inexpensive and educational summer activity to do with your kids?
Pebble Hill Plantation hosted the first of three "Horses and Dog Days of Summer" events Friday in Thomasville.
Young people and their parents had the opportunity to take a hay ride, interact with the horses, and learn the history of the plantation.
"We can't just depend on people that are older adults to take care of Pebble Hill. We need the interest of everyone of these young people and we hope they come back and love history just like I do," said Museum Manager Barbara Cohenour.
This event will also be held on the mornings of July 13th and July 20th.
