LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Kids helped fight hunger in South Georgia while having fun Thursday night. Star Dust Skate Center on Ledo Road hosted the Skate "n" Donate Food Drive.

Those who brought canned foods to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank of South Georgia got a discount on admission.

Organizers say it's a great opportunity to get kids involved in community service.

"I just think it's great for the young people to learn that early, that way they can continue it into their adult life," says Jason Watts\Stardust Skate Center Manager.

The food drive was organized by the Youth ministry of River Road Church and the owners of Stardust.
