Chehaw could win thousands of dollars to improve the park, but they need your help, and time is running out.

Chehaw has been nominated for America's Favorite Park online contest. The winner will get a $100,000 recreation grant from Coca-Cola.

Chehaw leaders say any prize money would allow them to move faster on enhancements that are planned or already started, such as an expansion of the zoo.

"We have got a lot of improvement we would like to be doing, animal exhibits to put in, and we are working on a big Halloween festival out here now and that would help with some of the expenses of putting that on," says Doug PorterChehaw Executive Director.

With a mobile phone app called Foursquare, you can cast 100 votes at a time when you check in at the park.
