Suspended jailer arrested . . . again

Posted: Updated:

A suspended Worth County jailer was back in jail Wednesday night, arrested for a second time in a week.

Martisha Lumpkin was booked into the Dougherty County Jail Wednesday night on a first degree forgery charge after being arrested at the east Albany Walmart. We don't yet know the details of what she's accused of doing at the store.

We're told she's the same person known as Martisha Williams in Worth County.

The GBI recently arrested her. Agents say she stole a Worth County inmate's identity and worked with Sylvester city councilman Larry Johnson to file a fraudulent tax return.
