Lee County Commissioners are proud they passed a budget Tuesday night that doesn't include a tax increase or major cuts.
They say the budget for the fiscal year that starts in July includes cost of living increases for employees and increases spending for public safety.
Commission Chairman Ed Duffy said, "This budget has no tax increase, no furlough, no layoffs, and we have added to this budget four new paramedics."
Commissioners are also waiting for a final report from a consultant who completed a pay survey comparing Lee County salaries to those of employees in other counties.
They say the budget includes money if they need to make salary adjustments based on the outcome of that study.
