Hahira's Stephen Drew joined the Arizona Diamondbacks when the team arrived in Atlanta Tuesday for the start of a three game series.
Drew is expected to be activated and make his first start of the season Wednesday against the Braves.
The former Florida State star has been out of action for almost a year after suffering a broken ankle sliding into home plate last year.
It has been a long comeback for the youngest Drew brother and he's looking forward to getting back on the field.
Stephen Drew said. "Oh yeah it has been a long road. It was an unfortunate injury. Now here I am and the all the hard work that went into it. I am ready to get back out there and play."
Stephen Drew has played 11 games in a rehab assignment with Arizona minor league teams in Reno and Mobile.
