In the NFL, Albany's Deion Branch knows his days of playing in the NFL are coming to a close but he is not ready to hang up the cleats just yet. Branch's career was revived with a mid-season trade back to New England.
The former Monroe High star was part of two Patriots Super Bowl championships winning the MVP in Super Bowl 39. Branch has signed a one year contract with New England this season.
But there is preseason speculation on whether the soon to be 33-year old Branch will make the roster. Deion says the only thing he is going to concentrate on in training camp is the things he can control.
Branch said "I can't control coaches decision. But what I can control is my work ethic and dedication towards my craft. What I have to prepare myself to be which is a professional athlete. If I am going to keep playing. I am going into my 11th season, regardless of the years I still have to put the work in."
The Patriots will open training camp at the end of July.
