ATLANTA (AP) - Twelve Atlanta school teachers once accused of helping students cheat on standardized tests are preparing to return to work.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the teachers were reinstated by school officials last week after accusations against them failed to hold up when examined by a review panel.

The teachers were among 180 educators named in an investigation last July that found widespread cheating in Atlanta schools dating back to 2001.

They're the first to be reinstated by a tribunal of educators.

Sharona Thomas-Wilson, one of the teachers who got her job back, says she was angry at first but grew as a person throughout the ordeal. She says any innocent teachers still under accusation should stay strong until they clear their names.
