The family of a murder victim will hold a vigil on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the alley of Poplar and Highland Avenue.

Jerome Walden, age 45, was beaten to death on June 24, 2011 in the alley of Poplar and Highland Avenue.

 

All three offenders are charged with Aggravated assault, Aggravated battery, and Murder. Only one, Tracy Smith, has been convicted on the Aggravated assault and Aggravated battery charges. All three offenders will be tried on the Murder charge. Tracy Smith, 33, Demarcus Lewis, 20, and Calvin Brooks, 29.
