Albany Police are investigating multiple shootings that happened early Saturday morning.
Police were called to 2020 South Madison Street around 2:50 am. The homeowner told police that the suspect fired several rounds outside her home and at least one of the bullets came through the front door. No one was injured.
About five minutes later, Albany Police were called to the 600 block of Willard Avenue, where the victim, Steve Williams told police that a brown vehicle approached him.
Williams says when the vehicle got beside him, suspects inside started shooting at him. He was struck in his left leg and was treated at the hospital.
His wound is not life threatening.
About an hour later police were called to another shooting that happened on the 2600 block South Jackson Street.
The victim, Jeqwan Trent told officials he was walking when at least six men in a white minivan approached him and someone inside shot him in his left leg.
Trent was treated at the hospital.
Minutes after the shooting, officers pulled over a white minivan traveling on the Liberty Expressway. Six men were taken into custody and a handgun was confiscated.
Jassie Octavious, Tori Toombs, Rodrevious Jassie, Jemaro King, and Marlon Pickett were all charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence.
Terrance Johnson was charged with tampering with evidence.
No one has been charged in reference to the aggravated assault. The case remains under investigation.
Around 11:20 APD was called to a shooting at 1709 Gadsden Drive.
The victim, 17 year-old Terrell Douglas told police that he was walking from his grandmother's house when he was approached by a green vehicle and someone inside fired at least one shot at him, striking him in his left thigh.
Douglas was taken to the hospital. His condition is not known at this time.
No arrests have been made. Officials say there are no indications of gang activity at this time.
