LEE COUNTY, GA - Leesburg has yet another musical talent making her mark in the business..
Faith Jackson received a Georgia Music Award for best female country vocalist.
Jackson was born in Camilla but lives in Lee County and says it has room for another music star. Jackson says most of the other competitors were from the Atlanta area, and considering the vote came from the fans, the win is all the more special.
"It was a great honor for me to win the award because it showed me that our fans here are very loyal fans and very supportive of what we are doing. So more than anything it was good to know they were so supportive," Jackson said.
Jackson has an album out now called My Sins that's sold in local stores.
