Social work association holds voter registration drive

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Students from a south Georgia technical college are feeding families and giving folks a voice.

Southwest Georgia Tech's Social Work Assistant Association is having a voter registration and food drive Saturday in Thomasville.

Students will register eligible voters as well as educate them on the importance of voting.

"You have the right to vote and everyone should know that your opinion does count. Anyone who is not registered we want you to come out and get registered so you can have that choice," said Association Treasurer Joi Whitaker.

The drive is Saturday from 11am to 2pm at Cherokee Lake in Thomasville.
