The Albany Panthers are calling for a "black out" at the Civic Center in this weekend's PIFL semi-final game against arch rival Columbus. The Panthers are encouraging all fans to wear black shirts or purchase a black tee shirt at the game for $15.00.
The team has already sold 4,000 tickets for the game and expect to sell thousands more before Saturday night's kickoff. The Panthers have had the best attendance in the league for past two seasons and General Manager Will Carter says it's a credit to how much Albany and the surrounding areas support their home town team.
Carter said ""I think we've grown every year since we've been here and the people really enjoy us being here. They enjoy getting behind the team. They enjoying coming to football games and seeing us play. By us being in the community as much as we've been this past season and also putting together a solid team for us to be successful and that's why we have the attendance that we have."
Advance tickets are $10.00, $15.00 at the door for Saturday's 7:30pm kickoff
