Some of the cuts from the Hope Scholarship Program are already being felt. It's being reported that cuts to the program are affecting technical colleges and not in a good way.

Many students have stopped going to technical colleges for the trucking program, according to the AJC. Once the program cost rose, enrollment dropped.

That's not a good thing, considering more truck drivers are needed on a state and national level. The cuts took place back in February.

Governor Deal has been quoted as saying the changes were necessary to keep hope afloat. It's no secret hope is paying out less. Almost 300 million dollars was cut from the program last school year.

The best way to help with college cost is searching and applying for scholarships.
