A group of upset Dougherty County residents expressed their frustration to county commissioners after hearing news that two libraries will close soon.
Last week, we told you the Public Library Board of Trustees approved a plan to close two branches, lay off 6 employees, and decrease hours system-wide.
The Southside Branch Library and Westtown Branch Library will both close later this month. Library users say it's a bad decision that will hurt children's future.
"Find the money somewhere. Do not close the libraries," said Melvin George.
"Do we want to invest now or do we want to pay, at a greater price, later?" said Rosalyn Coney.
