Rick Allen of Columbus is running for the Republican nomination in the District 2 Congressional race.
Speaking in Albany today, Allen said he's worried about increased federal spending, the country's debt, and Obama care.
"We really just want to bring opportunity, not dependence to the people of southwest Georgia. We want to bring jobs and create jobs and bring prosperity to District 2," said Allen.
While he's never held a political seat, he says his 33 years as a small business owner gives him experience with high taxes and government regulation.
