CAIRO, GA (WALB) - The National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association says about three percent of all healthcare spending is lost to fraud.

This is why medicare representatives want to educate beneficiaries and their caregivers.

Georgia Cares and Florida Senior Medicare Patrol were at Cairo High School Monday to inform folks how they can protect themselves from Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse.

There will be a similar presentation Tuesday morning at Havana Elementary School starting at 9am.
