The Lee County All Star Baseball team is paying respect to fallen marine Lance Corporal Steve Sutton. The team is made up of 9 and 10 year -olds from Lee County.
They wore camouflage uniforms during their game today to remember the Lee County marine who was killed last month in combat while on patrol in Afghanistan. The coaches of the All-stars say this will be an important learning lesson for the players.
"It just gave us, as coaches, the opportunity, because we have 12 kids this season, that we could maybe give the kids a good lesson about what our men and women overseas are doing for our country," says Brian Davis\Head Coach.
24 year-old Lance Corporal Sutton graduated from Lee County High School in 2007. Sutton's parents showed up before the game to thank the team for their support.
