LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -
The Lee County Minor All Star Baseball team wants to pay respect to fallen Marine Lance Corporal Steve Sutton.
The 9 and 10 year olds will wear camouflage uniforms during their game tomorrow in another act to remember the fallen Lee County native.
The coaches of the All-stars say this will be an important learning lesson for the players as well.
"It would be a nice opportunity for us to show the 12 kids that we have playing, a lesson as to what the guys across seas actually do for our country and they help us come out here and enjoy this sport," said Brian Davis, Head Coach.
The District Tournament starts tomorrow at 2 at the International ball field in Albany.
Lance Corporal Sutton was killed last month in combat while on patrol in Afghanistan.
