An Oglethorpe police officer was killed this morning in a patrol car crash in Macon County.
State troopers say 37-year-old Richard Angelo Cobb was on duty, but was not responding to a call when he left the road and struck a pecan tree.
It happened around 7:20 on Clifton Bradley Street in Oglethorpe.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
They are looking to see if a medical condition caused Cobb to crash.
