A concerned citizen is stepping up to help the children who have been devastated by the tornado in Oklahoma.More >>
Dozens of bands local and possibly some national talent will gather in Albany for a fall music festival.
Organizers are making plans for the first Southwest Georgia Music and Arts Festival.
The festival will be similar to BamaJams in Alabama.
It will include vendors, competitions and events for kids.
Organizers say it's an opportunity to bring something new to Albany.
"If you are a local non-profit, have a booth sell some food do whatever it is you do as a non-profit you can do it for free and you can keep all your money," said Sam Shugart, Partner
The three day festival will be held in October at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds.
