A GBI agent today told jurors how investigators video taped a meeting between an informant and a former Dougherty County deputy, during which the deputy sold personal information of jail inmates.

Charles Tharpe is on trial for 22 counts of violation of oath of office and computer theft.

Prosecutors say he used a jail computer to take the inmates' personal information.

Agent Matt Marchant testified the informant met with Tharpe in a car parked on North Slappey.

GBI agents had rigged the car with hidden cameras.

The trial is expected to continue through Friday.
