Source: Curt MorganAround 10:00 this morning, a Piper Cherokee 180, 4-seater plane made an emergency landing in a cotton field six miles south of Ocilla, on Highway 129.
Officers are waiting on the FAA and the NTSB, but they say it appears the plane lost power.
The pilot has minor head injuries but appears to be okay. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers do not know the pilot's name, but they say the plane was registered to someone in Tennessee.
Officers say there was only minor damage to the plane, mostly underneath on the landing gear.
