Father's Day is Sunday and have you found the perfect gift for that special guy? If not, what about encouraging him to go get a checkup?

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is having their annual Men's Health Conference on Saturday. This week is National Men's Health week, and any man who wants his health checked out will have that chance on Saturday. @

The conference kicks off with health screenings. Men will have a chance to be tested for high cholesterol, diabetes, and other health issues. It's free and open to all men.

Early detection and prevention is what organizers hope to accomplish through this event. For several years, Phoebe Putney has put this event on and hundreds of men have attended. @

You don't have to register for the event, but they would like you to fast Friday after midnight. Staying away from food helps test results come back more accurately. @

The conference starts at 8am and ends at 1pm Saturday. It's being held at Phoebe Health Works on 311 West Third Avenue in Albany.
