T'ville businesses help flood victims

Posted: Updated:

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Three Thomasville businesses are teaming up to help victims of last week's flood.

Representatives from Camellia Gardens, Flowers Honda, and HH Safari organized a donation drive for six families who lost everything.

They're asking for clothing, furniture, electronics, and any other household items.

"There was three feet of standing water in these homes and anything that the water touched is contaminated and has to be thrown away. You know you don't think about the little things like socks and clothes," said Camellia Gardens Marketing and Admissions Director Jennifer McLendon.

Harvard Storage is opening space to hold the donated items.

For more information or to donate call Jennifer McLendon at 229-516-0861.
