The Pawn Shop owned by the father of American Idol Winner Phillip Phillips was broken into last night.
The back wall of the shop was smashed by a stolen Albany Water Gas and Light back-hoe.
The Business is Albany Sporting Goods and Pawn located in the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe, in Albany.
The power and phone lines were cut. APD responded to an alarm there last night about 9:30, but found nothing amiss.
Police are canvassing the area, asking people if they saw anything suspicious.
No one was arrested. We are working on more details.
