Smash and Grab crimes are becoming to common. Albany Police are investigating a smash and grab  in the 2900 block of Sylvester Road.

Crooks hit Little Whiskey Monday morning and left with a lot of liquor. The owner believes it would take two people too carry all the alcohol that was stolen.

Theresa English is the owner and said she found out, about the burglary through her alarm company. After arriving at the bar, she noticed that someone had broken the front glass door.

English went inside and found more than 15 bottles of liquor were missing. The bar has security camera's but they were not working properly.

She hopes police catch the crooks responsible.

"This needs to be stopped. This is crazy. They want to come in here and do all this damage for liquor. They didn't take any money or cause damage except for the door, which I'm glad about. However, that's still money I have to take out of what the bar does, and it already has a large overhead as it is," said Bar Owner Theresa English.

The estimated value of the liquor taken is between $200 to $300.

Theresa English has been the owner of Little Whiskey for less than a year. This is the first time her bar has been hit by burglars.
