The Darton College Lady Cavalier basketball team are sending their 5 graduating sophomores on to play at the next level.

Christina Brown has signed on to play at Flagler College, Amber McKenzie will stick around and head to Albany St., Khadija Jones signs with Emory. Both Jomando Smalls and Lakandra Beeks plan on making their decisions soon.

Darton head coach Lea Henry says excited for the ladies and their opportunity to continue their basketball careers. She also says that sending players off to other schools helps with recruiting.

In the end though, she says it's the players that put in the work and its her job to help in any way she can.

Henry said "I'm really proud of them because when I took the job here. I knew that the job was to help these kids move on but not only to prepare them to play somewhere whether its NAIA, Division II or Division I it doesn't matter just the opportunity to play because there are so many options out there but also to prepare them from a discipline stand point academically."

Henry also said several of last year's freshman are being considered for scholarship offers.
