Some of the best female ballers in the south converged on the Good Life City this weekend for the 8th annual J.L. Litman Memorial shoot out. 14 teams from all over the south are taking part in the two day tournament. Its one of the biggest tournaments of the year for the ladies.
Organizers say they are proud of how the tournament has grown over the years and they now actually have to turn teams down in order to be able to accommodate all of the players. They say it's a great to see the competition on the court and everybody just having a great time with each other.
"Tremendous, tremendous. It's a big soroity if you will and they get along well. They are playing well. As you can see smiles all over this gym. We've had a few women that can even dunk which is just tremendous."
The tournament is free to the public and will wrap up Sunday at Darton.
