GAINESVILLE, GA -
A Tifton woman was killed in a wreck in North Georgia Thursday.
The Georgia State Patrol says Billie Worley, 78, of Tifton died following the collision at Jaemor Farm Road and Georgia 265.
The Patrol says Worley attempted to cross Highway 265 in her 2006 Honda Accord and was broad sided by a Honda Odyssey about 1:30pm Thursday.
Worley was airlifted to Atlanta Medical center and died a short time later.
Two passengers in the Worley car were injured. Frances Jones, 81, and Joan Matthews, 73, both from Tifton, were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical for treatment.
The Odyssey was driven by Robert Matthew King, 22, from Clarkesville. He and his passenger, Jamey King, 47, from Clarkesville were also taken to Northeast Georgia for treatment.
