THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A south Georgia holiday celebration is now a Top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society.
The city of Thomasville's Victorian Christmas earned a spot on the Top 20 Events list for the 6th time in its 25 year history.
"We're very proud of that. It's a great designation and will help to hopefully draw a lot of people from out of town as well as here in Thomasville to the event," said Sherri Nix of the Downtown Visitor's Center.
The festival shows off the sights and sounds of an era long since past.
Event favorites include a Victorian Museum, live musical entertainment, and carriage rides through Thomasville's historic downtown.
