Family and friends of Taylor Bailey held a benefit Sunday to try to raise money for the family's medical fees.

Bailey died last month, weeks after falling off the top of a moving car.

The Lee County teenager suffered severe brain injuries. Today, organizers had music and food to accompany the bike ride benefit. People close to him are treating it as a celebration.

"We are celebrating him going home to the Lord," said friend Cassie Reynolds. "We are trying to raise money for the family and Taylor's mom. All the money is going to all of his bills and memorial and everything."

They say today's event is one that Taylor would love. His family is thankful for all of the support.

And say they still need help because the medical bills are so steep. You can donate to the Taylor Bailey bank account at any Regions bank.
