Close to four hundred Albany Technical College students walked across the stage Friday to pick up their diplomas or certificates.

It's a rough time to be entering the job market, but these graduates and their loved ones at the Civic Center weren't worried about that tonight.

We spoke with one Titan basketball player.

Patrick Lewis told us it was a big day for him because his family came all the way from Mississippi to see him turn his tassel.

"They did not get a chance to come to a lot of my games like they did when I was in high school," Lewis said. "A lot of my family came down today to see me get my certificate in early childhood. I'm very happy and very excited."

Lewis plans to stay in Albany for another year and continue his education at Albany Tech. His goal is to become a basketball coach for kids.
