TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) -
Tybee Island Firefighters were called to a house fire on 11th Street Thursday night.
According to the Tybee Island Fire Chief, neighbors spotted the flames in a vacant house on 11th Street and called authorities.
When crews arrived they saw flames shooting from windows on the lower floor.
Officials say the fire spread into the upper level of the home, but they were able to get it under control.
They cut a hole in the roof to ventilate the structure and remained on scene to make sure all the hot spots were out.
Investigators are still trying to determine a cause. No one was injured.
