Dougherty County police are searching for a motorist who hit a pedestrian and then fled the scene. Authorities say it happened around 11pm Friday near the 3900 block of Radium Springs Road. PoliceMore >>

Two people were arrested after smoking marijuana in the parking lot of the Dougherty County jail.
38-year-old Alexander Brown remains in jail.
24-year-old Haley Roberts is out on bond now after their arrests last week.
The apparently didn't realize they were parked next to an Albany Dougherty Drug Unit agent.
When they got out of their car, the officer smelled the drugs, searched the car and found less than an ounce of marijuana.
Brown and Roberts are charged with a felony because they were inside the guard line of the jail.
