Tuesday, 16 girls participating in Albany Tech's Girls Summer camp wrapped up this years camp helping Habitat for Humanity.

High school girls from Dougherty County... Terrell County... and Turner Job Corps spent the day painting and landscaping at two Habitat homes on Sunny Lane.

This third annual girls summer camp is designed to encourage high school girls to have an interest in construction or energy...which is a predominately male dominated field.

"We've seen a little increase in our female student enrollment for the construction programs but we hope we can expand that in the next few years," said Wendy Howell, Director of PR at Albany Technical College.

Yesterday the girls learned about electromechanical engineering, masonry and plumbing
