Seniors citizens looking to downsize or move into a new neighborhood now have another place to choose in Albany
Today, officials unveiled a new sign for Dalewood Estates a housing complex for folks 62-years of age and older.
It's on Willie Pitts Jr. Road. After problems with the original contractor, developers hired new local contractors.
The property is now ready to reopen. It includes 50 one bedroom apartments.
Rent will be based on income. It's designed to provide a better quality of life for people in that age group.
"There are several places like this in Albany, but since there is such a shortage of housing of this kind and for this cost we think this will be exceptionally successful,"said John White.
Next Tuesday, they'll host an official open house but they are taking applications now.
